Michaela Daphne has been dreaming up tales for as long as she can remember, staying up until the wee hours of the morning with pictures running through her mind. Purlieu is her first book and is inspired by personal experiences of her own life.
She studied Mass Communication, majoring in television and advertising at Queensland University of Technology. She has written several short films, tv scripts, stage plays, and fiction stories and authored sections in the books Learning to Love and The Word Made Flesh and Shared Among Us, and edited Up The Beaten Track.
She lives in Brisbane, Australia with her husband.
